Cottage Chair Company is an independent software company in Ontario, Canada.
This page collects nothing. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts and no advertising. We do not know how many people visit.
The scene
The view is drawn in your browser from your own clock. Your device is never asked where it is, and no location is sent anywhere. The site reads the time your device shows and nothing else; the picture is then computed on your machine, not on ours. After the page loads, it makes no further requests.
The contact form
If you write to us, we receive the email address and the message you type, and nothing attached to them. We keep that message the way anyone keeps an email, and we use it only to answer you. We do not add you to a list, because there is no list.
To stop the form being used to send mail in bulk, the service that handles it counts how many messages are sent each day. That count is a number and holds nothing about who sent them.
Server records
The service that sends contact-form mail keeps operational logs for fourteen days, recording that a send happened and whether it failed. It does not record what was written.
